Choose the right picture mode

Out of the box many TVs are set to Vivid or Dynamic. That looks bright in the shop, but the colours are off. Choose Movie, Cinema or Filmmaker Mode for films and series. For football you can use Standard.

Turn motion smoothing down

The feature that makes movement extra smooth has a different name on each brand: TruMotion, Motion Plus or Motionflow. On films it gives an unnatural picture. Switch it off or to its lowest setting.

Switch HDR on for the HDMI input

If you watch through a Firestick or another box, the HDMI input of your TV has to allow the full signal. Look in the menu for HDMI Ultra HD Deep Colour, Enhanced format or Input Signal Plus and switch it on for that input.

Give the TV a good connection

An Ethernet cable is the most stable. If that is not possible, use 5 GHz Wi-Fi and do not put the router in a cupboard. If the picture keeps dropping to a lower quality, ask us on WhatsApp to take a look.
